Day 14 Video Summary
The Website and Landing Page
We are still working through designing our website and landing page. We want to keep things simple, but we also need to get our message across and offer the product set that we want to offer.
For a landing page, the goal is to collect email addresses. Why? Because email is still a great tool to convert to sales. More importantly, it’s a great way to continue to add value to your customer base. We still check our email often and with the fire hose of information on social media, there’s a better chance of our email being seen than your Facebook post.
When designing a landing page (or a website, for that matter), you should have a single call to action. You want to give your visitor only one single action to take. Also, add value first. If you want people to give you their email address, give them something in return. It’s a transaction. You are bartering for their email address. What are you willing to give them? An ebook? A future discount? An amazing product that they can’t resist?
Marketing Plan and Social Media
Here’s a quick document that Max put together that outlines the marketing plan that we are thinking about implementing. There aren’t many details in the document, but it’s a good overview. Pick what works for you and leave out what doesn’t.
The goal, especially this early in the game, is pick something and do it. Get started now.
We’ll see you on Day 15!
